The Amazon

Silky water thunders down hundreds of feet
The Sun reflecting brightly
Casting a rainbow
Lighting up the day

A crimson flower
Atop the waterfall
Droplets of water dripping
Creating a miniature Niagara Falls

The sound of water dripping
from this palm - sized sunset
Casts a lullaby
On the fuzzy bear lying in its shade

Dreams of a plethora of McDonalds burgers
Without the bread
Claws digging in
The plentiful meat
Filled with happiness and content

The bear does not stir or disturb
The picnic
Sure to fill an animal
With a lack of dismay
Laid out a few feet away

With clusters of apples
And an assortment of mangoes
All the way from New Jersey
To the Amazon
